While we know plenty of people who have gone from cruising on boats to traveling in an RV (recreational vehicle, aka motorhome), we don’t know a single one who has plans to travel in a Rickshaw! Until now, that is.

Friends of ours from our Bahamas days, Eben and Genevieve, are planning a new adventure. Not that they haven’t already had a significant one. This young couple cruised on their boat as far as the Dominican Republic with not one, but two small children! They didn’t just cruise though, plenty of people do that. While in the DR they became involved with an organization called Live Different, a Canadian non-profit that rebuilds homes for the less fortunate. That’s right… they got their hands dirty! For those of you looking for some good reading, they blogged extensively about their experiences. None of that involved a rickshaw though; that’s their new deal.

Unbeknownst to me, there is a rickshaw “race” across India, and these two, sans children, are looking to participate. Hand in hand with that, they’re also looking to raise money and awareness for Live Different, the organization that they still believe in strongly and have continued to support. How are they hoping to pull this adventure all together? By Crowdfunding it. Readers who have the financial ability, and believe in their story, can pledge their support on Eben and Genevieve’s crowdfunding site. I won’t copy and paste all of the cool details here but rather, would encourage you to check out that link to find out what our friends are planning. They’re cool people, with a cool story, and super big hearts. In case you can’t tell, I’d love to see them succeed!
