I just moved your boat to the Caribbean on the map so you should be getting warm any minute now
Nice. Thanks John!
You should be getting warmer soon, which is cool! This is a really neat tool.. I like how I can click where you are at certain times and days to see your path. Great for family too!
Great for stalkers too.
You appear to be an experienced Venus Fly Trap. Great Bait! Nothing like a great body to attract attention. I lost mine years ago. John’s still working on his!
Venus Fly Trap? Not sure how to respond to that.
Nice to see you both enjoying the journey. All the best.
Hi Kris. Thank you. We’re having a blast. I hope all is well with you.
Southport – perfect spot to jump outside.
Considering it.
YEA!!!! Thanks, I love these things. Thanks.
De nada.
You’re getting mighty close to my home port of Brunswick, GA. If you don’t stop, I’ll give you a shout and a wave as you pass by.
Hi Jay. We did wave, from a few miles offshore. Did you see us?
Hi Mike,
I’m coming down next week to look at a PDQ for sale in Miami, I’m landing in Melbourne FL next wed/thur. Any chance you might be around? I would love to pick your brain about your cat. My wife and I have been following your blog for the last year and enjoy it very much!
Cheers,
Jordi
There’s a pretty good chance we may be. I’ll send you an email.
WOW…..Fancy
Why is there nothing showing on your ‘Spot’ screen?
Do I have to buy a £40 service to see it, I didn’t think so?
Mike
The spot data is very slow to load. Give it a sec or refresh the page. It is there and no, you don’t need to pay.
Alternatively try this link:

Thanks, but No that doesn’t work either.
However, browsed with Firefox and it all works perfectly.
Strange as it has always worked with IE8 in the past, and now IE9 is generally much better, indeed it seems to be the best of the browsers now. But there is always a ‘gotcha’ hidden somewhere. It seems that IE9 does not like Spot, or the other way round.
Cheers, I see you are anchored by the airport and near the virgins university.
Mike
We were anchored there, yes. Now we’re on St. John.
Hi Mike and Rebecca,
Finally got around to visiting your website – it’s great! We’re home in Guelph and spring is finally arriving this week.
All the best on your journey. Have you found any good volleyball? You may have to come back to George Town!
Cheers,
Gary and Ingrid

Hi guys
Let’s here it for spring…. woo hoo!
We have had no volleyball since Georgetown but in a big coincidence, just over an hour ago we found a VB net and sand court behind the Pirates Bight bar where we are anchored! We joked about making a “general announcement” on the radio calling everyone over for a game tomorrow.
You’re going around in circles.
We’re lost.
Super! I love it when people set a plan and stick to it.
Just came across your blog via 365Antigua.com, not sure if you guys are still in Antigua but if you are I hope your having a great time in our little bit of paradise.
Hi Shawn
Thanks for the note. Yes, we’re still here and plan to be for a little while yet. We’re definitely enjoying ourselves.
Mike, you need to hit up SPOT for a check (not a track) every day, even when you aren’t moving. That way, we know for certain where you are, and with your following, it would be a good indicator if something was amiss.
I could do that, but if something goes amiss, you’ll be sure to read about it here.
Likewise if we move, I always post here too.
Actually, by amiss I meant missing, as in can’t report in. But it appears the cruising community has each other back. It appears that you all watch after each other, maybe more than any “group” of people in the world.
You may be right about that. Thankfully, there’s not much risk of us going missing around here.
Thanks for sharing, I believe you have met some of our Friend’s Doug and Wendy Meredith. They mentioned your adventure, and it is something that is picking our curiousity. Keep the wonderful stories coming and if ever i can convince my wife of your Reality Cruise adventure, you might here from us. (kidding) but sound’s really cool! LOL Cheers
Hi Sylvain. Doug and Wendy Rock!
I just ran the coordinates for the latest update and the one from an hour ago through Google Earth, then measured it.
7.75 Nautical Miles in an hour? That’s a fair clip, if accurate!
Cheers, and enjoy!
We were often sailing at 7-8 (or more) knots.
