To share is to care. How you can help our site grow!

Sunday is usually a softer traffic day on our blog, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to point out a couple of the newer features on our updated site, and how you could possibly use them to help us grow our site’s readership.

I’ve written before how much we love receiving feedback on our posts in the form of comments. Yes, we get the occasional negative comment. In fact, I woke up to a couple of them this morning on yesterday’s post! Even those are OK though as they at least prove that someone is reading what we put up. Since we’ve updated our site, it’s now very easy for all of us to see how many views each post has received, and how many comments. That data is listed right at the top of each post, and if you like what I wrote, you can also click the little heart at the top, close to the title. Isn’t that nice? 🙂

The new blog theme also makes it very easy for our readers to share our posts on their favorite social media platforms. I actually use the buttons at the bottom of the post to share what I write to our Facebook Page, but you can do the same, assuming you agree that others might enjoy it too. Believe me, all those shares help us a lot!

Lastly, I’ve just installed a plugin that allows readers to easily pin our posts and/or images to their Pinterest page. There is now a Pin It button at the bottom of each post, and if you hover over an image you’ll see a small red button appear that allows you to do the same. I’ll admit that I really have only just started looking at Pinterest in the last day or so, and thus still don’t completely have my head around it. You can see evidence of that if you visit our virtually empty Pinterest page! Many people do seem to love the platform though, so hopefully this new feature will help those folks to organize and share some of what we post to their pages.
