We are just about to leave for the marina to haul Katana out of the water and onto her winter resting place (that sounds almost like a funeral, doesn’t it). We’ll try to snap some pics and/or some video of the hopefully drama-free event.

Until we can post that, feel free to check out the Facebook page that we set up yesterday. With FB it is much easier for us to share albums of pics. I have uploaded several albums already and will continue to add more as time goes by, for any of you who are interested. I am quite sure you won’t need to be Facebook members to view them. If you are, however, a regular user of FB, please list yourself as a FAN when you visit our page. 🙂

  1. Haul out always makes me nervous no matter how many times we’ve been through it. It’s a good idea to mark where the straps should go somewhere above the waterline so that when/ if you haul in somewhere less sophisticated and far away you can guide the yard workers where to put the straps.
It’s so unnatural and awkward to see our floating homes take flight. best of luck to you!
