Grenada’s Carenage gets our vote as the prettiest harbor in the Caribbean.

Continuing with our whirlwind tour of the island, we began yesterday morning by taking a walk around Grenada’s Carenage.  While we have visited many beautiful spots in the Caribbean, this harbor gets our vote as one of the prettiest, especially when the sun shines on the colorful houses and boats, as it was yesterday.

We spent the latter part of the day sharing our normal Sunday afternoon haunts with my sister. We first visited Secret Harbor Marina to lounge around their pool for a bit, and following that, we dinghied around to Hog Island to take in the live entertainment. Stell and Snuggs were on hand at Roger’s to provide entertainment, and they did a fantastic job. It was a perfect end to an already fun day.

  1. “Whirlwind tour….”

  2. Thanks for posting, good to get info on the various anchorages. I have one Friday afternoon/night in February to spend in Grenada prior to checking in a Moorings charter at 11:00 the next day. Any suggestions on where to spend my one night. Currently thinking about Prickly Bay, but that’s open to change.

    • Barring any inclement weather, I would likely just anchor outside St. Georges. That way you can have a relaxing morning without having to rush around to get back to the base by 11:00. The trip from the south end to Port Louis normally takes about 2 hours.
