Every once in a while we stumble onto a real gem. Today’s “discovery” came to us by way of a link from the blog of a couple of other future-cruisers, SV Letitgo. The funny thing about this couple is that they are posting anonymously just as we did when we first started this blog. Keep up the great work guys!

Anyway, back to the gem I spoke of. On the above Blog we found a link to another website, The Trouser Rollers. The authors of The Trouser Rollers, Bill and Pat, have posted a HUGE Cruising Handbook that they wrote which you can download in PDF format for FREE. I have just been quickly browsing through it and there is a ton of info inside. A great find. Big thanks to Bill and Pat for posting it.

Today is our day off work so we have a few boat things on our list. After we go to the YMCA to practice swimming we are going to head to the marina to look in on Katana. We want to check the state of the batteries and charge them if necessary as well as pick up the chart-plotting tools that we left onboard. We need these for the Seamanship course we are doing. Speaking of that course, Rebecca and I have some homework to do! Now, where is that dog…?

  1. Better than some I have bought! Very thoughtful of them.

As I become more experienced – and it has been a long road – I am gratified to see that others have learned the same lessons with the same hard knocks as I.

    What a find!

And thank you for sharing forward. We truly appreciate “listening in” to your collective experiences and are absorbing tremendous value through the insights and experiences shared here. Keep ’em coming and we’ll do the same as we “get our feet wet”.
