I’m a fan of most fruit but I’ve recently developed a new favorite: Passion Fruit. And that’s a good thing too because they grow here. Certain types of fruit, like apples for example, which were a staple of ours back in Canada, are not readily available down here and when they are, they’re crazy-expensive imports. Not cool. The fruit that does grow here, such as bananas, grapefruit and passionfruit, is much fresher and cheaper. We like that!

  1. I love love love passionfruit! In Hawaii it’s called liliqoi and my step-mom makes fantastic liliqoi jam when the fruit on my parent’s land is ripe. Liquid gold we like to call it. However, we have learned through years of picking and eating that maggots/ worms blend right into the flesh of the fruit. Just examine closely before you bite. It’s the price you pay for “organic” 🙂

  2. My favorite fruit!!! When the are ripe and *just* right they are delish! Make sure to wait to eat them until the skin is a little wrinkly 🙂

  3. I see you are developing your skills into “artistic photography”. Very good. Passion fruits good too.
