Stepping up, and down

Although definitely smaller than our former 3 bedroom house our boat has a ton of storage space. Rebecca and I spent part of the weekend, and this morning exploring the lockers and crawl spaces on Katana. We will need to be careful because we have had several people who have threatened to stowaway when we take off cruising. There sure is a lot of room for them to potentially go unnoticed!

Our friends and dock-neighbors Jennifer and Al are due to depart this week for their southern journey. After receiving some advice that it might not be wise to cross Lake Ontario with their mast down they decided that they would re-step it today. As Rebecca and I will need to go through this process ourselves several times we made a point of being at the Marina to watch. Unfortunately work got in the way and we had to leave before the process was finished. Hopefully it all came together and their boat Ruth is once again whole!
