Sea trial number two commenced yesterday when Rebecca and I, along with our new friends Dave and Jenny, set sail from Grenada towards Carriacou. This is our fifth year spending hurricane season in Grenada and we hope to do a lot more sailing than in years past.

Even though it started out a bit squally, it turned out to be a great day on the water. Unfortunately, the wind was a bit too north to sail the rhumb line directly to Carriacou, and a bit too light to sail super fast. So, as we spent a while exploring Grenada’s underwater snorkel park before departing, we ran out of available daylight and were forced to motor the last little bit to our anchorage. That’s good though… it gives our new cruisers the real experience of what passage making in the Caribbean is often like!

  1. Guys, I love to live vicariously through your blog, wishing I had the means to do the same. Is there a site where we can follow you such as a SPOT or similar interactive locating method??

  2. I am so glad that we were able to see the underwater sculptures this day. Turns out that any day after that was muddy and we would not have been able to see them. This REAL experience was perfect for us!
