Good news all around!
During an afternoon guitar session on the beach the other day, Rebecca and I faintly heard our boat being hailed on our handheld VHF. When we answered the hail, we were extremely surprised and pleased to hear from our friends Wade and Maureen on the sailboat Just Drifting. We last saw these guys in Rum Cay over a year ago and although we knew they had intentions of making their way south, we had no idea they were so close. We had a great time catching up with them as they shared a fresh fish dinner with us on board their boat. As a matter of fact, the last time we saw them they also cooked us some fresh fish on their boat. Could this be a trend?
If that wasn’t nice enough, we had some extra special news yesterday. For the past week Rebecca has had our telephone within reach 24-7, waiting to hear news from our daughter Cass whose baby was due any day. We are very happy to announce that yesterday afternoon she gave birth to a beautiful and healthy 7 lb. 1 oz. girl. Congratulations to Cass and her husband Robert, we are extremely happy for you. As for Rebecca, she is now the hottest grandmother that I know.
