Why didn’t I take Home Ec?

Last night I busted out the Stitch It Awl that our friend Chris brought us back from Australia. When I was over at the upholsterers picking up our mattress I asked him for some scraps of Sunbrella fabric to practice on. Rebecca told me once that she made a lot of pencil cases during Home Ec class in school. I started off in that direction but decided that I really don’t need a pencil case! The tool does work though and for emergency repairs should do the trick.

Note the beginnings of a tiny pencil case at the bottom of the photo. 🙂
