We’ve got New York covered… almost
I think as far as charts are concerned, we are good up until we reach NYC. Last week we received the NY State Canal Guide. It was only 20 bucks and we received it in just 3 days. They included a couple of extra maps and guides with it too so all in all it was a great deal. Too bad they’re all not that cheap!
We have some computer charts for our GPSNavX application for after we exit the Hudson River but we still need to acquire some paper charts for the area.
Yesterday I found a guy selling the Maptech Chartkit for the Chesapeake/Delaware area for a good price but… he won’t ship to Canada. 🙁 I guess we’ll keep looking.
I can’t STAND it when I find something online I want and they won’t ship to Canada. What is with that, anyway?
I finally asked a friend I work with in film (he lives in Palm Springs) if I can get stuff sent there and bring it up when he comes up this way.
He made quite a fuss about the two pairs of crystal encrusted sandals I ordered. He’s gay and joked that the guys at customs in PS wanted to know when the next dates were for his Judy Garland impression in Vegas. Hahaha!!
That’s funny about the sandals!
A friend of mine used to keep a PO box just across the border to ship things to (for his business) and he would drive over there on a regular basis. Sadly that is no longer the case.
Hmmmm Sandra sounds very much like Scripty.
Kirk
Oooo… Kirk. How right you are. Now I need to know who you are. I only know one Kirk in the film biz. Mr. Shaw?????
Or are you the Kirk from the BVI Pirate boards? I just did a check and there’s a Kirk there… but you’ve only posted one time so didn’t think of that right off.
Sandra,
Yes, I followed your adventure over on BVI Pirate. Mainly a lurker there, although Anegada is just about my favorite place. Hope to get our boat there next winter. Actually, I had to go to Walker’s site check and see if it was you as well. Hope you find the right boat soon.
Kirk
why not just have it shipped to me and i’ll ship to you?
have your people call my people …
Thanks Christian. I may do that.
This is a cool site for charts and such. Looks like they have guides for the entire area you will start in. http://www.waterwayguide.com/
Thanks for the link Ed. We actually purchased their Atlantic ICW guide at the boat show but I had not been to that site yet.
