We’ll be back!
As you can probably imagine, the longer we stay in one place, the more friends we make and thus the harder it gets to leave. I think this is true for most people. We have been in Grenada since mid-June which, for us, is a long time. To put this in perspective, if we were to take away the towns we were born in (Brockville, ON, for me and Deep River, ON, for Rebecca), Toronto, where both Rebecca and I lived (separately) for a time, and Kingston, the city we just moved from, Grenada then becomes the place we have lived the longest. No wonder we have such a connection to the island. The only thing that made it easy to sail away today is the knowledge that we’ll be back again next season. We’ll see if our friends in Grenada remember us when we return. 😉
Hi,
I read in your blog that someone recommended you to do your banking with scotia bank. How was it? Could you please write about it? Did it worked? Is there another option?
Cheers, Lenka
In Grenada it is definitely the way to go. We also opened a Bank of America account when in the US and because they are tied in with Scotiabank, we can use that card at the Scotia ATMs without additional fees. I also saw several RBC banks in Grenada.
Thanks and happy sailing!!!
🙂
Mike and Rebecca, I’m sure that your Granadian friends will remember you. They may also keep up with you via this blog! Enjoy the trip to your next anchorage, and be safe!
Thanks Helen.
Safe sailing. Looking forward to seeing pics of the other islands you visit. I will bring the Rum Punch when you return next year.
Very cool J. See you when we return!
Yep, it’s always easier to say goodbye when you know it’s not for good! Looking forward to hearing about your new travels!
We’ll no doubt have plenty to post about.
