  1. I have no words…..

    • You know it would rock, Kirk!

      🙂

And it sure would make finding our boat easier after an evening of socializing on shore or on another boat!

      • I thought we determined in a previous post that there is no room on a boat for platform shoes (does Crocs make ’em?)

        • Did I actually say that there was no room? I did say that no one should ever have room for crocs!

Regardless, in OUR disco, you wouldn’t need shoes to get service. 🙂

  2. I wonder how long the paint holds it’s ‘glow’ after a day in the sunshine? Because, you are right… it sure would make it easy to find after an evening on shore. And you’d be easy to find at night, if you needed a rescue.

    • Exactly Sandra!

Disco comments aside, which were of course a joke, I could see a real value in the glow paint and tape.

I am curious to hear how long it would last too.

Well, given the reputation of the builder, I’d say that when it falls apart, he’ll at least be able to find the parts! However, since he’s building it for himself, maybe he’d just as soon not be so obvious! 🙂

  4. I am right there with ya, the brighter and bolder the better! I would do it like that in a heartbeat. When we were cruising and it was my 27th birthday, my husband put a disco ball on the foredeck on a full moon night with the spot light shining on it! I am not sure where he got the disco ball (stashed it from when we were in the States I guess?) but it was awesome. Very memorable birthday night!

  5. There’s that ball again.

I suppose you’re going to tell me they are a requirement now?

I’m grinning here, I think I’m going to tell Judy that I plan to buy one for our boat.

You’ll hear her clear down in the Caribbean.

    Jim

    • Our friend, a helicopter rescue operator, told us that a mirror was the most visible signaling device. The ball could then do double duty as a signaling device in times of distress. 🙂
