Use your imagination…
Instead of a surfboard, you are on the bow of a Catamaran, surfing down some big waves on the leading edge of a storm!
Isn’t that sweet? Check out the Go Pro Camera website. Pretty awesome footage for a $270.00 camera! Thanks to our friend James for bringing this to our attention.
Follow up: I just noticed Boat Bits, one of the blogs that we follow, wrote about this camera back at the end of May 2009. I guess we aren’t too up to date. 🙂
My son is a Rally car racer (co-pilot) he and his driver use one of these during their races. Really fun to watch.
I bet! Funny thing is I took my new Canon camera and held it on the dash while I was zooming around some curvey back streets yesterday, just to see how it would turn out. It wasn’t too bad AND I didn’t even crash! 🙂

Your son might like to investigate these cameras too – specifically for motor racing as they incorporate a dashboard on the screen.

My brother in New Zealand has a Porsche/BMW race shop, and he says that these cameras are selling like hotcakes to all his clients.
THAT is very cool!
Hey Guys
I thought I would leave you a message about water tanks. I was at a plastics fab plant yesterday and while I was there I asked about water tanks building, knowing that you may want to upgrade your system. I was talkng to a chap named Dan Curcione and he assured me that they build them all the time. IF you would like to email them, his email addy is: danc@masplastic.com.
Sorry I had to leave this message as I lost your email addy.
All the best,
Richard
ps. If you need more info just email ol buddy
Hi Richard. Thank you for thinking about us. The masplastic website looked to me like it was in Venezuela. I assume you weren’t just there 🙂
I will send you an email!
Mike
Hey it WORKED! I am now subscribed again. Thanks Mike!
You’re welcome Sandra. Thank YOU for actually caring that much!!!
A couple of days ago, we saw one of these in a camera shop on Las Ramblas in Barcelona and were thinking about how much fun it would be to take one diving with us!
Somehow, Mike, I don’t think that you’d want to be on the front of a cat when it’s surfing down big waves. Better to leave the camera up there, pointed to the stern, so that it can record you being bounced around at the wheel!
I agree! 🙂
