There is only today!

While I had planned to write today about our recent passage and experiences thus far in Trinidad, upon acquiring an internet signal this morning we were shocked to read on Facebook that one of our hashing friends, Kim Henry, suddenly passed away. The cause, we read, was a massive brain hemorrhage. She leaves behind many shocked and saddened friends and family. Although we didn’t know her extremely well, her warm smile and positive energy was always welcomed by all of us. May she rest in peace.

Rest in peace, Kim!

For those who still believe a prudent plan is to wait 10-15 years to do what makes them happy, I suggest this as just one more wake-up call. This is not the first friend we’ve known to pass away suddenly at far too young an age. There is no tomorrow… there is only today. Make the most of your life NOW!

So tragic! Very sad and sorry to hear about that loss. I always hate to hear this type of news, especially when it’s someone so young and who seemingly had SO much life left. It’s a somber reminder to grab life by the horns and live to the fullest while it’s still available!

Very pretty lady. Today there are some big holes in the hearts of many.
    Excellent point.

Sorry to hear that. It’s toughest when someone dies suddenly with no warning.

What a beautiful lady! She was definitely way too young, and this definitely serves as another reminder to get out there. My thoughts are with her family today.

So sad to hear this news, especially for one so young and full of life! Our son had a massive brain hemorrhage as the result of an AVM last fall (25 yrs old) and fortunately survived however it did result in a language impairment (aphasia) ….deepest sympathies to all…..carpe diem…

It was sad news to hear, as you said Mike , live life today as there may not be tomorrow.
I hope Softwod does a special hash and we can all be there for it

So sorry for the loss of your friend…it is sobering to see those so young taken so suddenly. She was beautiful. Thank you for the reminder to never take a day for granted.

Wow, what terrible and shocking news. Really puts it into perspective, and I am happy I am learning some theory now so that when I can actually own a boat, I will spend less time learning theory and more time making mistakes, and really learning to sail/cruise and having fun.

That’s horrible. Especially sad when it’s a young person with a whole live to live. Your advice is very good. “Make the most of your life NOW!”
