For some, days turn to weeks, and months to years,
Searching for just one who shares their dream,
One who understands their hopes and fears,
Impossible, this quest can sometimes seem.
But fortune smiled on me that fateful day,
Although I could not know when first we met,
Our paths would link us both in work and play,
And later in a classic love duet.
Lives are spent wishing for dreams to come,
Yet you and I daily make ours come true,
A trail not walked, a sea not sailed, welcome,
Adventures waiting for a chapter new.
The story’s end I confess not to know,
Except to say, together we will grow.
