STCW 95 Day 3: First Aid, Second time around

You would think that because it really hasn’t been all that long since I completed the RYA first aid class that I should breeze through the first aid portion of the STCW course which we did yesterday. The truth is that, even though UTT considers this a basic course, we covered a lot of information. Heather, who taught the classroom portion of the firefighting material on Monday, also did a great job with the first aid. Happily all went well for both Scott and I so we can move on. As I understand it, today’s instruction will focus on the Sea Survival theory with our final day Friday consisting largely of in-the-pool work. THAT should be fun!
