I think many vacationers are a bit sad to have to return home from their temporary tropical getaway, no matter where it is they travelled to. I don’t know how many charter crews can say this but WE were actually a bit sad to see our guests leave to return home too! I think that’s a sign that we had a pretty amazing group of guests with us this past week.

“One Love” is the name but All love is what you get. The only thing Mike and Rebecca didn’t do was magically extend our trip. — Ryan M

Yes, after a week of fun with our first set of charter guests, Tracy and Andy, Alicia and Ryan, 2 amazing couples, we parted ways yesterday afternoon, each with our own set of memories. I’d love to go into detail about all the things that happened during the charter but as they say, “what happens on the boat, stays on the boat.” We did travel all the way from Charlotte, Amalie, St. Thomas, where we picked them up, to Anegada, the “Drowned Island.” During their time with us our guests were able to snorkel and SCUBA dive, explore and play on our water toys. They got to take part in the Lobster Festival in Anegada, play in the Bubbly Pool at Jost Van Dyke and dance with the Jumbies at Leverick Bay. And of course, we made sure that while on board, their glasses and their bellies were never empty!

Awesome Thanksgiving diner. Would like Rebecca to write a recipe book. Always looked forward to each meal to see what was next. — Tracy T

How did they enjoy their vacation with us? To find out for sure, we distributed customer service questionnaires and had them complete them while they ate their breakfast on the final day. We were pleased to receive high scores in every category. Given their smiles and their feedback throughout the week, I would have been surprised had that not been the case but we wanted specifics including their favorite and least favorite meals (this proved to be a very challenging task as they loved all of Rebecca’s creations).

Travel plans were perfect. We did so much I couldn’t remember where we were going next. — Alicia N

What’s in store for us now? Rebecca and I are holed up in a quiet anchorage today and plan to stay put, cleaning the boat and assimilating all that we learned during the past week. We also received the preference sheets for our next two charters and plan to call them today to say Hi and touch base. We have plenty to get organized between now and our next charter. Plenty!

  2. Mike,
It would seem that you did an awesome job with your first charters. If I didn’t go bareboat I would be begging for a trip on One Love. Keep up the great work! and keep the post coming.
