Unlike last year, we avoided the motor-oil-wearing J’Ouvert crowd. We figured that one year of voluntarily pouring a carcinogenic substance all over our bodies was enough. This did not mean that we stayed clean though. On the contrary, as we walked the streets early this morning, we were coated in a rainbow of paint colors by the other revelers. Fun stuff!
Yeah, it was dark when we left the dock this morning, heading out to join the fun.

Looks like a blast! I don’t blame you for passing on the oil … once is surely enough! =)
Definitely, although some do it every year There were kids out there all covered in oil.

After the previous night’s party it was tough getting up that early but well worth it.
