Many boat crews feel that tandem charters, more than one boat working together to offer a vacation to a large group of people, are difficult. I will admit that the phrase “herding cats” does come to mind when I think back on the past week. That said, we all had a fantastic time, both with the guests on One Love, and those on our buddy boats, Sognare and Bella Vita.

All together we had 14 guests with us this past week, from three different families. This charter was a bit unique for us in that we picked up our guests in St. John instead of St. Thomas as we typically do. As soon as we had everyone on board though, it was business as usual. We got them in the water for a swim as soon as we could, and following that, made our way directly to the BVI where more fun ensued.

The week was spent in a variety of beautiful anchorages which included, at our guests’ request, two nights in White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. We actually had One Love anchored directly off the famous Soggy Dollar Bar, a mere 60 second swim away from the beach and Soggy Dollar Painkillers. It’s hard to get much better than that!
