Our holiday “timeline”
Inspired by Facebook’s new Timeline, here is a Zero To Cruising photo snippet of our Christmas holidays from 2004 onward. I had a lot of fun reminiscing as I went through these pics.
2004: Punta Cana, DR
2005: Deep River, ON and Fernie, BC
2006: Las Vegas, NV
2007: Deep River, ON
2008: Sailing School, St. Petersburg, FL
2009: ZTC is on the hard so we’re house sitting for friends, Kingston, ON
2010: Now we’re cruising! Norman’s Cay, Exumas
Like me, you are blessed to have a smokin’ hot, fun, and energetic lady to share your live with. Makes it a whole lot more fun and interesting.
Merry Christmas.
Without her I wouldn’t be out here.
Agreed. Same here. we just have to get one more child into College next year and we will begin our new journey. Hopefully you will still be out there when we get going..
Count on it!
A fun collection of shots! Merry Christmas!

Thanks Wendy! Merry Christmas.
Great thanks!
How did you find a house with a dance pole in it?
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
Mike
hehe… we brought that with us. It was Rebecca’s “travel” pole.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2012 to you both
Some of us can only dream but you give us a wonderful insight into how you have made your dreams a reality. Please keep posting the pics (`specially Rebecca !!) they make an old Englishman very happy.
Keep safe John
Merry Christmas, John! We’ll keep posting. 🙂
I love how you always went somewhere fun for Christmas… and now you’re in PARADISE!! *sigh*
Have a fabulous Christmas. I know you don’t have all the trimmings but you have white sand and if you close one eye and squint I bet it would look like snow… for a second or two.
I would be in Palm Springs right now, out of this RAIN but I am waiting for the best Christmas present I could ever wish for… my new grandaughter. She was due yesterday and no signs of her arriving yet. I am betting tomorrow or boxing day. I can’t wait!
Wow… that will be an awesome Christmas present! Congratulations.
Mike and Rebecca,
Hey guys Alex and I have been following your blog for some time as we plan to depart Halifax NS next summer on our way south to end up in Grenada June 2013. We’ve really enjoyed your daily posts and look forward to them each day. In the Christmas spirit we’ve made a small donation so that you may have a little more cheer (read rum) on us over the holidays!
Take care, and hoping that you both have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to cross paths in the future.
Cheers, David and Alexandra

Thank you so much, guys! We sincerely appreciate the support. When we meet up in Grenada the first round’s on us!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you too.
That was fun! Merry Christmas and look foreward to 2012 being added to your timeline!
And 2013, and 2014…
Great memories, lots of familial resemlances there. Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012.
I agree about the Rebecca’s family. Hope you two are having some great holidays too!
Wow, cool things to do on Christmas each year! It is nice to see the progression into your full time Cruising:) Thanks for Sharing
Dani
You’re welcome, Dani.
Love all the pictures .. great idea! That snowboarding looks sooo fun! Happy New Year!
Happy new year to you too!
Great timeline. My brother lived in Fernie for 25+ years….awesome snow (I hate the Meathook at the top though!) and a well kept secret vs. the more developed resorts. I would love to reverse our current life and start coming north for a ski vacation. A Caribbean tan looks so good in a lift line or powder.
I agree!
