Our family is trying to get rid of us!
Our family is trying to get rid of us, or at least Rebecca’s family is. We travelled to see them on the weekend and they had arranged a dinner party with two other couples who both had fairly extensive experience cruising in the Caribbean. Although much of the info they were able to share we had already read, it was still very nice to hear it from someone who had “been there – done that.” Each couple was also kind enough to send us home with reading material as gifts. From one couple we received a brand new cruising guide to Cuba. We will no doubt be needing this and countless other books just like it for our planned destinations. The second couple passed along to us several Galley cookbooks. These will also no doubt be very helpful and we plan on testing out the recipes right away!
Here are just a few of the items on today’s To Do list:
- Arrange Dentist appointment
- Arrange Doctor appointment re: physical and vaccinations
- Call local Ham radio expert/examiner
- Research Handheld GPS units
- Obtain info on International Driver’s License
- plus, plus, plus!
We have been corresponding with the owner of another (beautiful) PDQ for sale. Like all of the others our timeline makes a boat purchase now less than simple. Hopefully something can be worked out. Our fingers (and toes) are crossed! 🙂
