When the photo below was posted on Facebook yesterday, as you might imagine, it created a bit of activity. The fact that it was posted on April Fool’s Day may have added to the mystery, but the pic had nothing to do with that special occasion (for the record, although I tried to prank Rebecca yesterday morning, she was not to be had).

ZTC being hauled at Clarks Court Bay Boatyard with some smiling onlookers.

Anyway, as the pics imply, ZTC is on the path to getting back in the water where she belongs. The soon-to-be cruisers shown in these photos have some land-based ties to sort out, so I’m going to honor their request to keep their identities hidden for the time being. Needless to say though, Rebecca and I, and our new friends, are all very happy and excited!

ZTC underway, sea trial / delivery from St. Davids to Clarks Court Bay.

  1. Gees, that is exciting indeed. It was only a matter of time before someone saw the value in ZTC. It’s a beautiful boat and well maintained. I’m sure it will go well.

Congratulations! I’m glad she is back in the water where she belongs, and has new owners to share her adventures. I bet you two are heaving a sign of relief! You know what they say about the two happiest days in the life of a boat owner! I assume you now have firsthand knowledge of both!

  3. You’ve maintained, had great fun and done what need to be done to your cat. Sure the survey went well!! Congrats!!!

  4. Great news … glad for y’all!

Congratulations. You’re selling a better boat than you bought. She’ll serve them well. I hope they are as happy as you were on her.

  6. Great news. I wish I could never heard the comment, “You know what they say about the two happiest days in the life of a boat owner”. I have owned and sold several boats and with each parting it was extremely difficult to let go. You may be happy from the financial standpoint but certainly not from the emotional perspective. Our boats are extensions of each one of us as owners. I miss every boat I ever owned because I treated them with care and they all served me very well. I can see that you are very proud of ZTC and she will always have a place in your heart. Congratulations in turning the page!!! One less girl to worry about.
