KAP

I’m not exactly sure how I came across the video below. Perhaps it just showed up in my Youtube Channel’s “Recommended For You” feed. Even though I had no idea what a “kitecam” was, I was enticed to watch it because the video dealt with sailing. I’m sure glad I did!

That video is pretty cool in my opinion, and I thought it might be nice to see how this guy managed to pull it off. A little bit of googling taught me that Kite Aerial Photography, KAP for short, is not just a one-off thing that this guy created. On the contrary, I found a bunch of links on the subject explaining techniques, equipment and more!

Although the kite below likely wouldn’t work all that well for aerial photography, it sure does look cool! 🙂
