Outside of the hashes that we attend on a near weekly basis, it’s been far too long since Rebecca and I have been able to do any hiking. Wanting to share some of the features that we think make Grenada so wonderful though, we planned an excursion to Mt. Carmel for Cassy and Demi, and invited a couple of our cruising friends, Rob and Deb, to join us. It was a great day!

Part of the fun of the trip is getting to the site via the local buses, and they did not disappoint. We actually travelled all the way into Grenville, Grenada’s second largest city (in fact, outside of St. George’s, I think it’s the only other city) to have lunch, and then backtracked to the falls after we had eaten.

With zero percent chance of rain forecast, we couldn’t have picked a better day for the trip. The following images should be evidence of that.

Interested in visiting this waterfall yourself? It’s easy to get to, and all of the details are published in our ridiculously inexpensive hiking guide, Ready To Get Wet. Check it out!

  1. We do have your e-book and are looking forward to completing some of the not so difficult hikes as well as participating in walking hashes – if those exist. I have one question in regard to an earlier post – the one with the puppies – how hard was it for Cassandra to fly into Grenada with them?
