The big news in this area is Tropical Storm Danny. As of this morning, Danny was located at 12.2N latitude and heading west. Note that we are located at 12N latitude! As bad as that sounds for us, it is, however, expected that Danny will veer to the NW during the next 48 hours. While I’d prefer that the storm just dissipate altogether, I definitely want it to make that northward turn. That is, after all, a major reason why we spend hurricane season here in Grenada, to avoid these nasty disturbances.

  1. Cool! I’ve got a 2-week coastal trip coming up, and more weather information always helps!

  2. Models seem to have it heading for Puerto Rico.

  3. Hi Mike,
I’ve just finished reading your blog from back to front. It has been highly enjoyable and your writing style is very fun and easy to read.
    Keep up the great work.

Btw, have you had a chance to use your bow thruster yet? I noticed it on the panel on one of the previous post about the blower.

  4. Danny is looking a little like a “lead blocker” and it looks like a freight train of storms breaking out of Africa. Keep your guard up, guys. Be safe!
