Bad news day

Today was definitely a bad-news day. To begin, we read about how the author of Boat Bits (one of the Blogs we regularly follow) lost the mast off his boat while sailing towards Antigua. Losing the mast has to be second only to sinking in terms of the worst things that could happen to a sailboat. Fortunately the crew made it back to shore safely.

The second piece of bad news we received is that our friend, Phil Hughes, passed away after losing his battle with cancer. Today was his 41st birthday! Phil was an awesome athlete, and was always very positive. He will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
